Connect your Snapchat Ads account to Blackbox

Bring Snap ad spend and results into your reporting. Snapchat groups accounts under organisations, and Blackbox looks across all of yours.

About 3 minutes Updated 8 September 2026

Before you start

A Snapchat Business account

The login needs access to the ad account through Snapchat Ads Manager.

An organisation

Snapchat keeps ad accounts under organisations. Your login needs to be in the organisation that holds the account.

Know which accounts to pick

You choose the ad accounts for this brand in Blackbox after signing in.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Open Data in Blackbox

Sign in to Blackbox and click Data in the left menu, then Connect a channel at the top right.

The Data page in Blackbox with the Connect a channel button at the top right
  2. 02

    Pick Snapchat Ads

Open the Provider dropdown and choose Snapchat Ads, then click Connect.

  3. 03

    Approve on the Snapchat screen

A Snapchat window opens. Sign in with the business login and approve the request to access your Ads Manager data.

  4. 04

Choose the ad accounts for this brand

Back in Blackbox you see the ad accounts your login can reach, grouped by organisation. Accounts from every organisation you belong to are listed, not just one. Tick the ones for this brand and save.

  5. 05

    That's it

The connector shows as connected and the last 30 days of campaigns and spend load.

Blackbox can read

  • Your campaigns and ad squads, and their spend, impressions, swipes and conversions
  • Daily performance history for trends and comparisons
  • The organisations and ad accounts your login belongs to, so figures are grouped correctly

Blackbox will not

  • Change a budget, pause, resume or create anything unless you approve that change in Blackbox first
  • Reach ad accounts you did not tick
  • Post to your Snapchat account or see your Snaps or chats

If something doesn't work

An ad account is missing from the list
Blackbox looks across every organisation your login belongs to, so a missing account usually means the login has no access to it. Ask an admin in Snapchat Ads Manager to add you, then reconnect.
Why is spend shown against ad squads?
On most Snapchat accounts the budget lives on the ad squad rather than the campaign. Blackbox reads both so a campaign with its budget set at squad level is not reported as having none.
Will Blackbox spend my budget?
Not on its own. Every change is proposed in Blackbox and applied only when you approve it.
How do I disconnect later?
Open Data in Blackbox, find the connector and choose Disconnect. Blackbox hands the access back to Snapchat at the same time, so it disappears from your connected apps there too. Your existing reports stay.
