How to add a second brand and manage multiple brands

To add a second brand in Blackbox (blackbox.plus), an admin makes it in Studio, then gives it an ad account of its own. Click Studio, open the Brands tab and click New brand. Paste the brand’s website, click Read the site, check what was read and create it. Next, on the Data page, open the Meta Ads menu and click Choose accounts. Tick the new brand’s ad account, click Tag brand, type the brand’s name, create it and save. In the Inbox, open that brand’s thread, go to the Strategy tab, choose the Studio brand under A brand you already have and click Link. The brand now has its own thread, strategy and campaigns. Connect its Instagram with Connect a channel, which now asks Which brand is this for?, and put teammates on it with Brands on their row under Settings, Team. From then on Studio asks Which brand? and Settings shows a Tags tab.

Good to know

  • Each brand keeps its own look, facts, ideas, posts, Inbox thread, strategy, campaigns and connected accounts.
  • With two brands, Studio asks Which brand? before writing ideas or uploading, the Data page gets brand filters, and Connect a channel asks which brand each account is for.
  • Settings shows a Tags tab, Brands & access, once there are two brands or two members. Admins add brands there and set each one’s reporting currency.
  • Members see recommendations, dashboards and results only for the brands they are on.
  • A brand made in Studio and not linked yet has no Inbox thread or accounts of its own: its posts offer your first brand’s accounts. Link it before you post.
  • Once two brands have ads, New Campaign in the Inbox asks Select a brand, and its New brand button makes a brand from ad accounts you pick. Link that one to a Studio brand on its Strategy tab too.
  • A second Instagram or Meta ad account doesn’t take another channel: channels count platforms, not accounts.
  • Daily limits, such as post ideas a day, are shared by every brand in the workspace.

If something doesn't work

There’s no Choose accounts in the Meta Ads menu

Meta Ads isn’t connected, or it was signed out. Connect it first, with a login that can see the second brand’s ad account — see Connect your Meta ad account to Blackbox.

The second brand’s ad account isn’t in the list

Your Meta login has no access to it. Get access in Meta Business settings, then reconnect Meta Ads on the Data page and open Choose accounts again.

The second brand has no ad account

Today a brand gets its own thread and accounts from an ad account. Without one, you can still make its posts in Studio, but check the account on the Post step: they offer your first brand’s accounts.

A brand you already have isn’t on the Strategy tab

Every Studio brand is already linked, or you are a member. Make the brand in Studio first, or ask an admin; A new brand, below, makes one from its website instead.

How many brands does my plan include?

Billing lists Brands with your plan, 1 on Starter. For more, talk to us about a custom plan — see How to change or cancel your Blackbox subscription.

A teammate can’t see the new brand

They aren’t on it yet. An admin clicks Brands on their row under Settings, Team, and clicks the brand’s name.
